Conques is a priviledged site for children and students discovering history, the heritage conservation, Romanesque art and the local economy. As a subject in the French school curriculum, the Middle Age era and its art find here the ideal place for a learning. The Tourist Office is available to guide and advise any classroom (primary, secondary and university levels) in the discovery of the site of Conques.

Seminars and congress
Conques has many facilities to ally work and cultural discovery, in a priviledged environment. The Tourist Office of Conques is also available to help you prepare your company's stay in Conques (accomodation, restaurants, visits, ...)
The European Center of Conques is located near the historic center of Conques. It has a large welcoming capacity:
- a 400 seats auditorium (with writing boards), a 78m2 stage
- a light and sound system and projection facilities
- a simutaneous translation booth in three langages
- lodges for artists and masters of conference
- a meeting room with 80 seats with audiovisuel equipment
- entrance and exhibition hall
- a bookshop area
- and an administrative and technical team to your service.
Researchers and historians
Why not choosing Conques as the setting for your research project, symposium, conference or historians' gathering. The Tourist Office is available to give you more information and to help you in preparing this stay (accomodation, restaurant, guided tours during free times, conference structures...).
The Bibliothèque and the Centre de documentation historique (library and documentation center), located on the first floor of the townhall can be the location for your research or study work. It numbers a large collection of printed works as well as important archival documents. These facility is open on Tuesday (14:00-18:00), Wednesday (9:00-12:00 and 14:00-18:00) and Saturday (14:00-18:00). The townhall has also a few rooms available to rent for conferences and meetings.
The Centre européen (European center) located on the upper part of the village, has a large welcoming capacity, with numerous rooms and a spacious amphitheater for any symposium, conference or seminar (see details above).
