CONQUES
GUIDED TOURS FOR INDIVIDUALS
These guided tours are held mainly in French. English guided tours for individuals depend on our guides' availability. During the summer 2012, English guided tours will be programmed at 9:30 am, certain days (information at the Tourist Office afew days before for the planning).
These guided tours present the history, the architecture and sculpture of the Romanesque church (tympanum and capitals) and the contemporary art of stained-glass windows by Pierre Soulages. These guided tours are held by professionals from the Tourist Office. You may also read the corresponding tabs in the section Prepare your stay, for more details on each guided tours. Guided tours for groups are planned all year round, on reservation, and can also be held in English or Spanish.

April to September: Art Exhibits at the Centre culturel
May to September : Night tour of the uppergallery of the abbeychurch, with organ and light show, at 21:00 (left staircase, 5€) except during big concerts. Access limited to public older than 12, for safety reason.
May to November: Conference cycle at the Centre européen
Every Summer Tuesday:
- Pèlerinades (pilgrimage-hike) with a friar from the Premonstres Community of Conques.
- Petanque competition by night, at 21:00, open to all.

February, Sunday 19 : Afternoon "Crêpes" (organised by the Comité des fêtes).
February, Friday 24: Card Game organized by Conques' school at 20:30, at the Centre Culturel of Conques (ground floor Town Hall). Many prices to win.
February, Saturday 25: Cinema « Yoyo ». A French film from Pierre Etaix with Claudine Auger and Pierre Etaix (1964). Comedy. Auditorium (Centre européen) at 8:45 pm.Fees: adults 5 €, children under 18: 3 €
March 2012
March, Wednesday 7th: 70TH PARIS-NICE CYCLING RACE, PASSING BY CONQUES
During the 4th leg Brive-Rodez, the cycling race Paris-Nice will go by Conques on March 7th (leg: Cassaniouze, Grand-Vabre, Conques, Saint-Cyprien...). Planned hour of passing through Conques Faubourg around 15:00.
March 17 and 18: Corsican polyphonic course, organised by the Centre européen and directed by Jean-Pierre Giorgetti (group « A Vuciata »). Information at 05.65.71.24.00
March, Saturday 24: Motobike Race Day (Enduro). Celebration of the 30th year of the association, with a full day program (sportive activity, pic-nic and dinner and dance in the evening).

April 14th to 15th: 20th year celebration of the religious community of the Premonstres' establishment in Conques.
