CONQUES
Guided tours programming for INDIVIDUALS:
You may contact us to know the hours of visits or, for more information look into Visiting Conques in the tab Prepare your stay.
Organ play and light show in the upper-gallery of the abbey-church, every evening from May to September (at 21:30, North staircase entrance), except during big concerts events. The access of the upper-gallery is not allowed to children under the age of 12. This night tour is not guided.
Regular activities
Every second Friday, from October to May : Beginners Class for regional Folk dancing.
From April to October : Art Exhibits
Every Summer Tuesday:
Pèlerinades (pilgrimage-hike) with a friar from the Premonstres Community of Conques.
Petanque competition by night, at 21:00, open to all.

September
Until september 15th: Silk painting exhibit by Master WUMO, Chinese painter, from Tuesday to Sunday, 9:30 to 19:00.
Friday September, 3rd: Calligraphy course by Master Wumo, from 9:30 to 11h45. Fee: 40 €. Inscription on the exhibit site (Centre culturel, Townhall).
From September 4th to October 10th: Exhibit at the bookshop Chemins d'encre "Typographie - Poésie - Livres d'artistes".
Tuesday September 7th: Pilgrimage-hike at the south of Conques via Montignac. Departure 8:45 (maison familiale).
Tuesday september 14th: Pilgrimage-hike to La Borie of St Marcel. Departure 8:45 (maison familiale).
Wednesday september 15th: Concert at 16:30 and 21:30 in the abbey-church, with violon (James Coles) and cello (Carol Hubel).
Friday September 17th: Conference (held in French) "L'image de l'amour charnel au Moyen Age", by Florence Colin-Goguel, art historian, Centre européen, at 20:45.
From September 17 to 30th: Exhibit by the painter-poet Maurice SAGE « Eloge minéral », at the Centre culturel (townhall), everyday from 10:00 to 18:00.
September 18 to 19th: Journées européennes du patrimoine
- Free parking the two days of the event.
- Entrance to the Treasure at reduced price for the adults: 4.20 € (instead of 6.20 €), free entrance for specific public (-18 yrs old, disabled persons).
- Guided tours of the church (in French only). Fee: 3,80 €.

- 10h : Tympan et abbatiale
11h : Tribunes de l'abbatiale
14h30 : Tympan et abbatiale
15h30 : Tribunes de l'abbatiale - 16h30 : Visite spécifique handicap visuel en utilisant les outils tactiles (plans en relief, maquettes, carnets de visite en relief et en gros caractères...) élaborés par l'Office de Tourisme et l'association Braille et Culture. Sur inscription. Free.
Sunday:
- 14h30 : Tympan et abbatiale
15h30 : Tribunes de l'abbatiale - 16h30 : Visite thématique « Les grands hommes et femmes qui ont construit l'histoire de Conques ». A travers un circuit dans le village de Conques, évocation des grands hommes et femmes qui ont construit l'histoire de Conques : sainte Foy, l'ermite Dadon, l'abbé Bégon III, les femmes de Conques impliquées dans le sauvetage du Trésor à la Révolution, Prosper Mérimée, Pierre Soulages... (free).

October, 9th and 10th: FESTIVITIES OF SAINT FOY
- Saturday : Procession by night and torchlight in the village
- Sunday: Procession with the reliquary-statue of Saint Foy and mass.
November
In November: Lotto game (quine) of the school
Friday November, 12th: Conference "Le destin tragique d'un poilu de Conques, Adrien Cros (1886-1915)", by Régine Combal, Arnaud Bayeux and Pierre Lançon, Centre européen, at 20:45. The conferences are held in French.
DECEMBER
Friday December, 31st: New Year's Eve starting at 20:30, at the Centre culturel (townhall).
